I had the amazing opportunity of working with the National Ballet of Canada for their 2012 Spring campaign, promoting the ballets Sleeping Beauty, The Seagull, and La Fille mal gardée. Deliverables included a series of static and animated web ads,in various sizes and formats.
The branding guidelines were very strict (understandably so), therefore it was a fun challenge to experiment with the layout, typography, and photo cropping/optimization, while still adhering to the guidelines for colour, logo treatment, and font sizes, etc.
For me, the highlight of the project was having the chance to go through the beautiful selection of photography from each ballet, and decide on the ones that would be suitable. In choosing the shots, I tried to pick ones that showed the most movement, or expressed the essence of each story.
